Slingshot Esports is a biblically based community for gamers and esports athletes, hosting and sponsoring video game events which create fun and meaningful opportunities for the gaming community in a safe haven, non-toxic environment.

Our in-person events feature in-game skill development, both structured team play and open play, and tournament competition while encouraging Christian spiritual development.

Trip Overview

Slingshot Esports has been invited to Antigua to partner with three local churches by facilitating video game outreach events as a strategic outreach to youth in their communities. 

Not only will these outreach events create an opportunity for local pastors to connect with youth in their communities, these events will serve as a workable template for the local churches to use in the development of their own gaming and esports ministries. Pastors and youth leaders will receive training and tools to equip them in creating their own Christ-centered gaming communities that reach unchurched youth.

The team will consist of 6 adults each with a connection to Slingshot Esports in at least one of the following capacities: event facilitator, event volunteer, board member, parent of Slingshot player, and donor.

• Facilitate multiple outreach events at 3 different churches

• Engage youth workers in immersive, real-world examples of effective video game outreach strategies

• Equip church leaders with reproducible systems and support to launch similar efforts

The total investment for the trip is $1,880 to cover among other things, airfare, lodging, meals, team gear, and gaming equipment for the churches we'll serve.
